Our Service - Role & Responsibility
We serve as caretakers of a sacred healing space. Our role is to guide with humility, honesty, and respect, grounded in lived experience and faith. We are responsible for maintaining a safe, ethical, and grounded environment for all who enter our sanctuary.
Respect for Each Person’s Spiritual Path
We honor & respect everyone's unique spiritual journey. We do not impose beliefs, expectations, or outcomes. We allow the sacrament to guide you on your own discovery process. Each participant is met as an equal, with dignity, autonomy, confidentiality and respect for their unique process and spiritual understanding.
Informed Consent & Clear Communication
Participation is always voluntary and based on informed, written consent.
Before any ceremony, participants receive clear and honest information about:
- The nature of the experience
- Expectations and guidelines
- Possible physical, emotional, or spiritual challenges
We do not pressure, persuade, or mislead anyone into participation. Participants may ask questions, pause, or withdraw at any time.
Safety, Boundaries & Professional Conduct
We maintain firm personal and professional boundaries at all times.
Sexual, romantic, or intimate relationships between Angel of Life Sanctuary staff and participants are strictly prohibited before, during, and after ceremonies.
Any form of touch or assistance is done only when necessary for safety and with clear consent. Exploiting vulnerability for emotional, sexual, financial, or personal gain is a serious violation of our ethics.
Confidentiality & Privacy
All personal information, conversations, and experiences shared within the sanctuary are confidential. We do not disclose identities, stories, or private details without explicit permission. We create a space where people can be open without fear of judgment, exposure, or misuse of trust.
Harm Reduction & Participant Screening
We prioritize safety through responsible screening and preparation.
Participants are asked to disclose relevant medical, psychological, and medication information to identify potential risks or contraindications.
We provide a supportive physical environment and clear safety protocols. We commit to ongoing learning and the application of best practices to uphold safety, responsibility, and integrity in our service.
Substance Use Policy
To maintain safety, clarity, and integrity of the space:
- Alcohol and recreational substances are not permitted before, during, or around ceremonies or sanctuary spaces
- Any use of substances that interfere with safety or consent is prohibited
These guidelines exist to protect all participants and the integrity of the work.
Cultural Respect & Spiritual Integrity
We honor the ancestral wisdom, traditions, and lineages that inform our work. We do not exploit, appropriate, or commercialize sacred teachings for personal gain. We acknowledge indigenous and ancestral roots with respect and responsibility, and we strive to act in the right relationship with the Earth and its peoples.
Stewardship, Fair Exchange & Accountability
Human life, dignity, and wellbeing always come before money.
Financial exchanges are approached with transparency, simplicity, and fairness. We do not exploit, manipulate, or overcharge participants.
Resources entrusted to Angel of Life Sanctuary are used responsibly to sustain the work and are reinvested into Earth restoration efforts, including land care, reforestation, and clean water initiatives.
Ongoing Growth & Ethical Leadership
We commit to continuous self-reflection, learning, and ethical accountability. We recognize our limits and seek guidance, mentorship, or support when needed. We welcome feedback and address concerns with honesty and responsibility, striving to restore trust and alignment whenever challenges arise.
