Maestro Shinan Shama

Maestro Shinan Shama (Breath of Consciousness) is a Shipibo-Konibo curandero from the Ucayali region of the Peruvian Amazon, an area long recognized as a living stronghold of the Shipibo healing lineage.

The Ucayali Shipibo tradition is known for its energetic precision and the profound use of icaros — sacred songs that function not only as prayer, but as spiritual architecture. Within this lineage, illness is understood as energetic distortion, and the icaros are woven as vibrational patterns that cleanse, tune, and realign the spiritual body.

Training in this tradition is shaped through disciplined plant dietas, extended periods of solitude in the forest, and years of apprenticeship under elder maestros. The work is clean, structured, and deeply diagnostic in its approach — emphasizing purification, alignment, and integration rather than spectacle or instant transformation.

Shinan Shama was raised within this current and carries forward the quiet strength of his lineage with humility and clarity. His guidance reflects the hallmarks of the Ucayali path: precision in energetic work, reverence for the plants, and a strong emphasis on responsibility and integration after ceremony.
