Our Community and Leadership

Angel of Life Sanctuary is a living spiritual community guided by reverence for life, the natural world, and the unfolding journey of the human soul. Our structure exists not to create hierarchy, but to offer care, safety, and steady guidance for those who walk this path with us.

Founder and Presiding Guardian

Michael Freidin (also known as Michael Fliight) is the Founder and Presiding Guardian of Angel of Life Sanctuary.

Michael’s role is rooted in lived experience, disciplined spiritual practice, and years of guiding others through breath, prayer, ceremony, and integration. As Presiding Guardian, he holds the vision of the Sanctuary, tending to its spiritual integrity, safety, and long-term stewardship.

Rather than teaching belief, Michael supports individuals in developing their own direct relationship with the sacred through conscious breath, embodied practice, reflection, and integration.

Council and Senior Guides

Our Council and Senior Guides are experienced members of the community who support the Sanctuary’s vision and growth. Together, they help shape offerings, support outreach, and model what it means to live with reverence for Mother Earth, responsibility to one another, and care for the greater whole.

Guardians of Knowledge

Using their training and experience, the Sanctuary’s Guardians of Knowledge provide guidance to members and participants regarding ceremonial structure, safety practices, and spiritual growth within the sanctuary.

While the leadership team carries responsibility for general instruction and oversight, the primary Guardians of Indigenous Knowledge are the ceremonial leaders entrusted with conducting sacred rites. These individuals carry lived experience, cultural lineage, and specialized understanding of the traditions they represent, and therefore serve as the principal guides during ceremonial practice.

Guardian Guides

Guardian Guides support the heart of our community. They are individuals who have demonstrated consistency, humility, and care in their own spiritual lives and who feel called to walk alongside others.

Guardian Guides may:

  • Support ceremonies, breathwork, and reflection circles
  • Offer grounding presence and integration support
  • Help nurture meaningful connections within the community
  • Assist in creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment

Their role is not to instruct from authority, but to listen, support, and serve.

Stewards of the Sanctuary

Stewards care for the physical and energetic space of Angel of Life Sanctuary. Through preparation, organization, and presence, they help ensure that gatherings flow smoothly and that all who arrive feel held and respected.

Stewards embody service in action, helping the sanctuary remain a place of peace, order, and grounded hospitality.

A Living Community

Angel of Life Sanctuary is not static. As our community grows and evolves, so too may the ways we organize and support one another. What remains constant is our shared commitment to humility, integrity, safety, and service to life.

Ceremonies and Ritual Practice

Sacred ceremonies held at Angel of Life Sanctuary, whether contemplative, breath-centered, or plant-centered in nature, are guided by designated Ceremony Guardians entrusted with holding the integrity, safety, and spiritual coherence of each gathering. While ceremonies may vary in form according to the Guardian facilitating them, the Sanctuary maintains a shared ceremonial foundation rooted in reverence for the natural world and the forces that sustain life.

Foundational Ceremonial Structure

Ceremonies at Angel of Life Sanctuary generally unfold in the following sacred sequence:

(1) Opening Invocation

Each gathering begins with an invocation honoring Mother Earth, Father Sky, the Sun, and the Elements. This opening prayer establishes orientation to the directions, calls in protection, and acknowledges the sources of life, light, and balance. Intention is set collectively for clarity, humility, and alignment with the natural order.

(2) Offering and Reception

When applicable, ceremonies include the respectful offering and reception of sacramental or symbolic elements. This phase is approached with mindfulness, consent, and conscious participation, emphasizing gratitude, responsibility, and reverence for the life forces involved.

(3) Prayer, Songs (Icaros), Stillness, and Reflection

Following the offering, the ceremony may include prayer, chanting, sacred song, periods of silence, or guided contemplation, in accordance with the guidance of the Ceremony Guardian. These practices support inner listening, remembrance, emotional processing, and spiritual insight.

(4) Breathwork and Integration

Breathwork practices are offered following the ceremonial core to support grounding, nervous system regulation, and embodied integration. At Angel of Life Sanctuary, breathwork is facilitated by trained practitioners, including leadership with extensive experience and certified in Kundalini Yoga breath and movement practices. Breathwork serves as a bridge between insight and embodiment, assisting participants in stabilizing and integrating their experiences into the body and breath.

Integration and Ongoing Practice

In addition to ceremonial gatherings, Angel of Life Sanctuary offers regular integration circles and breath-centered practices. These gatherings provide a supportive space for reflection, discussion, and conscious integration of insights into daily life.

Integration practices emphasize breath awareness, ethical living, self-responsibility, and service to life. Through continued practice and community support, participants are encouraged to cultivate balance within themselves and contribute harmony to their families, communities, and the greater world.

Sacred Calendar of Observances

Angel of Life Sanctuary honors the natural cycles of life through prayer, breath, ceremony, and reflection. Our sacred calendar follows the rhythms of the Sun, Mother Earth, the Elements, and the ancestral flow of life, recognizing time as a living teacher rather than a fixed rule.

Participation in any observance is optional and approached with reverence, humility, and personal responsibility.

Appearance and Clothing

Angel of Life Sanctuary does not require uniforms. During sacred ceremonies and formal spiritual gatherings, leadership and ceremonial guides traditionally wear white, preferably white linen when available. When linen is not accessible, simple white garments are worn.

White clothing is chosen because it is understood to reflect external influences rather than absorb them, supporting clarity, neutrality, and inward awareness. Wearing white helps bring attention back to one’s own inner state, allowing each person to remain present with their breath, emotions, and spiritual experience. It is also associated with humility, simplicity, and a gentle form of energetic protection.

When ceremonies include visiting Amazonian or indigenous ceremonial leaders, traditional attire from their lineage may be worn by those leaders, honoring the culture and tradition they represent.

Participants are not required to wear white, but are warmly encouraged to do so if it feels aligned. Whether wearing white or other colors, participants are asked to dress in a way that is honorable, modest, and non-revealing, reflecting respect for themselves, the sacred space, and the collective experience.

Outside of ceremonial settings, members and participants are encouraged to dress in ways that honor the body as a living vessel, supporting dignity, comfort, and self-respect.

Educational Outreach and Public Information

Angel of Life Sanctuary engages in limited public communication, including the use of social media and digital platforms, as these are common and widely accepted means by which people in modern society share information and find community. These communications are conducted solely for educational and informational purposes.

The purpose of this outreach is to clearly communicate the Sanctuary’s vision, values, and practices, so that individuals may independently determine whether participation aligns with their personal beliefs and spiritual path. Angel of Life Sanctuary does not engage in solicitation, coercive recruitment, or efforts to persuade individuals to adopt specific beliefs or practices.

No individual affiliated with the Sanctuary is authorized to represent the Sanctuary as holding exclusive truth, superior spiritual authority, or a preferred way of life. Participation arises through voluntary interest and personal resonance, not persuasion.

Angel of Life Sanctuary affirms the freedom of belief, conscience, and spiritual expression of all people. Educational materials and public communications are offered to support transparency and informed choice, allowing individuals to connect organically if they feel aligned.

Angel of Life Sanctuary uses modern communication platforms, including social media, for educational purposes only, to share information and allow individuals to freely determine personal alignment.
